Why Now?

Because the Island deserves it. After our team visited most locations on our website, one thing that we’ve learned is that there’s more here than you might think, with plenty of hidden gems not getting the recognition they deserve.

The past few years have been hard on hospitality. Rising costs, reduced footfall, and limited visibility are the biggest three issues leaving many businesses struggling to stay afloat — with parking woes a close fourth. We’ve seen 10 restaurant businesses close in 2023, 6 more in 2024, and 4 already in 2025, at the time of writing.

For Locals, By Locals

One of the things we’re most proud of is the connections we’ve built with local businesses. Dazzler isn’t some faceless tech launch — it’s rooted in the realities of Island life. Our team has spoken to owners, chefs, staff, and customers to understand what matters most.

And we’ve created something that works for all of them, for free.

Our Island is more than just a scenic gem in the Irish Sea. It’s a vibrant community, rich in character, culture, and culinary creativity. As mentioned, in recent years the local hospitality industry has faced some quiet but serious challenges. From empty shop fronts to the mounting pressures of running a restaurant, many beloved spots have disappeared without much fanfare.

And yet, through it all, new venues have still emerged. Passionate independents. Fresh ideas. Home-grown flavours. Often only discovered by word of mouth.

That’s where Dazzler comes in.
